This short journalistic piece shines a light on the plight of homeless people in one of the most affluent cities in the world. 100’s of people congregate at a Shinjuku Park every week for a free evening meal. Many out of luck citizens live rough in Tokyo’s parks, but don suits every morning and commute to oppressive office jobs with little hope of regaining their social strata. This film asks why there are so many homeless living in the 4th largest economy in the world, and what can be done to curb it?
